The NM Math Team is an academic team that competes in the Massachusetts Mathematics League. On the first Thursday of each month, the team travels to various high schools and competes against the other high schools in their division. Each competition is spilt into 6 individual rounds, during which each team member has to solve 3 tricky math problems in a 10-minute time period, and a team round, during which the entire team has to solve 6 tricky math problems in a 15-minute time period. Practices are held once a week. Typically, students in grades 10, 11, and 12 take part in the competitions. Freshmen are encouraged to join and be a part of the team as well.
