Mrs. Cathryn Hampson, BSN, RN, NCSN
Cathryn is a nationally certified school nurse and a certified instructor for CPR/ AED/First Aid. Cathryn has been a nurse for 30 years, a school nurse for 23 years and a member of the Spaulding Community for the last 9 years.
Cathryn’s background is in maternal-child health, cross cultural healthcare and school nursing. She has worked in hospital, community and school settings in a variety of locations such as a Navajo Reservation in New Mexico, various locations in South America, and New England. As a school nurse she is committed to lifelong learning. Through this she manages a school health office that meets the various medical and social emotional needs of her students. Collaborating with district staff, community supports and students’ families enables her to ensure that the students are safe, healthy and ready to learn. She offers opportunities for staff training throughout the district in health, safety and emergency preparedness. Cathryn is an active member of the school community; participating on school and district committees. She is currently the district nursing coordinator and the Region 6 Chair for the Massachusetts School Nurse Association.
