From the Nurse's Office -As we anticipated in the winter months, we have seen an increase in cold/flu and other illnesses. Please follow these regulations if your child is ill:
- If your child(ren) has been tested for flu, COVID, or Strep, please contact Nurse Becky or Cathryn Hampson with the results and they will help you develop a plan for returning to school.
- If your child is a close contact outside of school, please notify Nurse Becky or Cathryn Hampson so that you can review the quarantine guidelines and get a return to school date.
- If your child is a close contact due to a school exposure, you will be notified by health office staff and given options for quarantine or Test to Stay.
- If your child is vaccinated, please send a copy of the vaccination card to either Nurse Becky or Cathryn Hampson. Proof of being fully vaccinated exempts your child from having to quarantine.
If you have not signed up your child for the Test to Stay program and would like to do so, please use this link to sign up: CIC Health Portal Remember, if signed up already and identified as a close contact, your child can be tested and not miss any school as long as they are negative.
Nurse Becky can be reached at rboutwell@nmrsd.org or 978-597-0380.
If you have any questions, please email our District Health Supervisor, Cathryn Hampson at champson@nmrsd.org.
Winter Weather - Please be sure to send students to school in jackets/coats. We go outside at recess until the temp reaches 20 degrees (real feel), even in the snow. Students should have hats, coats, gloves, snow boots and snow pants (when snow is on the ground). Students who do not have coats/jackets will not be allowed to go outside for recess.
