Uncashed Checks Issued by the North Middlesex Regional School District

CHAPTER 200A SECTION 9A:In any city, town of district that accepts this section in the manner provided in section 4 of chapter 4, there shall be an alternative procedures for disposing of abandoned funds held in the custody of the city, town or district as provided in this section.

The North Middlesex Regional School District will take the following steps to collect unclaimed funds.

  1. A list of unclaimed checks will be placed on the District website for 60 days.
  2. For checks over $100.00 an advertisement is placed in the local newspaper.
  3. Checks over $100.00 may be claimed up to one year after the date of advertisement or web posting.
