Anne Marie Tucciarone-Mahan, Director of Human Resources

Anne Marie Tucciarone-Mahan

Anne Marie Tucciarone-Mahan has served as the Director of Human Resources for the North Middlesex Regional School District since 2018. She brings over 25 years of human resources experience across the private sector, public sector, and education. Her prior public sector experience includes 11 years as Director of Human Resources at the Greater Lawrence Technical School in Andover, six years with the Town of Burlington and Burlington Public Schools, and three years with the own of North Andover.

Anne Marie’s expertise spans all aspects of strategic human resource management, including performance and talent management, workforce planning, compliance with federal and state laws, collective bargaining, grievance resolution, employment litigation, compensation and benefits strategy, risk management, payroll, training, organizational development, and management coaching. She is also experienced in HR processes, teacher licensure, policy and strategy development, employee relations, recruitment, unemployment compensation, employee assistance programs, workers’ compensation, defined benefit retirement plans, and other post-employment benefits.

Her contributions to the field include publications in HR Magazine and recognition by Frontline Education for an essay on substitute teachers in the classroom. A Boston College graduate, Anne Marie has consulted with public and private organizations to build and enhance effective HR departments. She also mentors emerging HR professionals across education, public sector, and private business settings.

Anne Marie is an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the Massachusetts Association of School Personnel Administrators (MASPA), and the American Association of School Administrators (AASA).

Charlene Cotter, Administrative Benefits Support

Charlene Cotter

Charlene Cotter is the Administrative Benefits Support Specialist for the North Middlesex Regional School District.

In this position, Charlene provides administrative assistance for the central office with a primary focus on employee benefits and onboarding. She works closely with the Director of Human Resources as well as the business office and assists on special projects as necessary. 

Charlene joined NMRSD in January 2019. Prior to her position at the school district, she worked in the private sector for many years, where she worked in various roles including payroll and benefits.
