Mr. Tim McMahon

Tim is Principal at North Middlesex Regional High School.  Prior to coming to NMRHS, Tim spent his entire professional career in Waltham.  For the first 12 years of his career, Tim taught world history, psychology, and AP Psychology, and spent the next four years in the role of Assistant Principal.  During his years in the classroom, Tim was the assistant varsity baseball coach and was the advisor/co-advisor for a number of clubs and activities.

Mrs. Laurie Smith

Laurie Smith began her administrative career in 2016 as Assistant Principal at North Middlesex Regional High School.  Laurie has been an educator at North Middlesex Regional High School for her entire career.  Before becoming Assistant Principal she worked for 6 years as the Guidance Counselor/School Adjustment Counselor and then 12 years as the Guidance Department Chair.  Laurie has in the past coached high school field hockey for five years and has coached travel and rec basketball for nine years.

Mr. Shigehito Tanaka

Shige Tanaka (pronounces "SHIG-eh Tah-NAA-Kah") is an Assistant Principal at North Middlesex Regional High School.  Shige is originally from Tokyo, Japan, and came to the US in 1999 to study at Fitchburg State College, where he also played baseball.  Shige taught mathematics in middle schools in Chelsea and Lowell and a high school in Lawrence. He then became School Director at Lower School Academy in Lawrence High School before becoming Principal at Longsjo Middle School in Fitchburg.
