Summary

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow tells the tale of a Town's new schoolmaster Ichabod Crane, and his attempts to win the heart of a beautiful young woman named Katrina Van Tassel. However in doing so he becomes involved in a competition with Abraham Van Brunt, or as he is locally known Brom Bones. As Icobod’s tenure as the school master continues He becomes more aware of the many ghost stories from the surrounding countryside. The most blood chilling of these, is the story of the Headless Horseman who is rumored to ride at night looking for his lost head. 

Setting

The story takes place in the late 1700s in a small superstitious town in New York called Sleepy Hollow.
