Visual Arts

  • The Visual Art Department provides courses that range from introductory/foundations in traditional and digital media through Advanced Placement offerings.  The sequential curriculum is designed to build a body of knowledge in all the visual arts disciplines: Ceramics, Drawing & Painting, and Graphic Design.  Students gain practical skills and the opportunity for real-world experience via exhibitions, state and national competitions, community partnerships, etc.  The Visual Art department provides support for students who plan on pursuing a career in art by assisting students in preparing an art portfolio for college admission and facilitating guest visits and presentations from leading art colleges.
