Mr. Jason Webster

With twenty-two years experience at the middle school level, Jason Webster is in his third year as the Principal of Hawthorne Brook Middle School.  Having taught mathematics at the middle level for eight years, Mr. Webster is in his fourteenth year as an administrator, and his seventh as Principal.  Jason continues to be inspired and focused on collaboration with our faculty and community, building upon the safe and supportive environment HBMS provides our students.

Mr. Webster earned his Bachelors of Science in Mathematics from the University of Maine Farmington and his Masters in Educational Leadership from Worcester State University.  He attended the National Institute for School Leadership and serves on the Board of Directors for the New England League of Middle Schools. 

Jason enjoys being a father of his two daughters, music, and the great outdoors.

Chantele Olmstead

Chantele Olmstead has been an educator for more than two decades. She started her career in Los Angeles as a fifth grade teacher, and has taught multiple grade levels, from second grade through middle school math. Most recently she served as an instructional math coach at a k-8 school. Ms. Olmstead is passionate about providing high-quality, differentiated instruction to students and outstanding professional development to teachers. She is thrilled to be joining the Hawthorne Brook community. 

Ms. Olmstead earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and French Studies from Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts and her Master of Arts in Teaching from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. She has presented at numerous conferences, including the annual New England League of Middle Schools conference. Ms. Olmstead has also served on several DESE committees, including the District Math Leaders Committee, the MCAS Assessment Development Committee (Grade 7 Math) and the Teacher Advisory Panel. Ms. Olmstead also completed the administrative track of the National Academy of Advanced Teacher Education.

Ms. Olmstead resides in Westford with her wife and two sons. She enjoys running, spending time outdoors and baking cakes, and dreams of someday appearing on the Great British Baking Show.
