Mr. Jason Webster

Getting his start twenty years ago as a middle school math teacher, Jason Webster is in his first year as the Principal of Hawthorne Brook Middle School.  Having taught mathematics at the middle level for eight years, Mr. Webster is in his twelfth year as an administrator, and his sixth as Principal.  Jason continues to be inspired and focused on collaboration with our faculty and community, building upon the safe and supportive environment HBMS provides our students.

Mr. Webster earned his Bachelors of Science in Mathematics from the University of Maine Farmington and his Masters in Educational Leadership from Worcester State University.  He attended the National Institute for School Leadership and serves on the Board of Directors for the New England League of Middle Schools. 

Jason resides in Clinton with his fiancée and their three daughters, where he enjoys spending time with family, the great outdoors, and cycling.

Mrs. Sandra Shepherd-Gay

Sandi Shepherd-Gay has been a member of the Hawthorne Brook Middle School staff since 2004. She started her work at Hawthorne as Health teacher and moved into the role of Assistant Principal in 2011. In the role of assistant principal, she supports the students and staff in the development of an engaging, supportive learning environment for all students as they participate in a rigorous academic environment. She is passionate about supporting an environment where all students can be successful and develop into unique, self-aware individuals.

Sandi has served on the Principal Advisory Cabinet at the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and numerous district-based committees including the Professional Development Committee, multiple curriculum development committees, and the Social-Emotional Learning Committee.

Sandi earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Bridgewater State University with teacher licensure in Health, Physical Education, Science, and Social Sciences. She earned her Master's in Education from Framingham State University. She currently resides in Ashby with her husband and now has five wonderful, grown children and one amazing grandbaby. During her free time, she enjoys reading, outdoor activities, and most especially time with her family.
