The North Middlesex Regional School District preschool program is run through the Squannacook Early Childhood Center in Townsend. 

Please fill out the Preschool: Referral for Evaluation and Waitlist form if you would like to refer your preschool age child for a special education evaluation or for consideration for enrollment in the North Middlesex Regional School District (NMRSD) preschool program at the Squannacook Early Childhood Center (SECC).   

If referring for evaluation: After the form is completed and you provide the required documentation (birth certificate for the child and proof of residency),  an evaluation consent form will be emailed to you. You will need to either respond to the email to grant your written consent for the evaluation(s), electronically complete the form, or print the document and either scan/ email it back or drop it off at SECC. If you would prefer to receive a printed copy of the evaluation consent form, please let us know and we will provide this.

If referring for the waitlist: When space is available placement will be offered in the order requests are received through this form. If you accept a preschool placement you will be asked to fill out an online registration.  There is no need to fill out the online registration until contacted to do so.  

Please note that there is a registration fee and tuition for all students unless enrollment in the program is required as part of an approved IEP.

Preschool Information Night will be at Squannacook on January 15, 2026 at 6pm to 7pm (Snow date 1/22)
